• Well, given that virtually every electronic product we buy is absolutely full of chips made in China? I fail to see how this is significant in terms of 99% of everything we buy right now.

• The video states that only TSMC, Samsung, and Intel was the only chip makers that can produce chips under 10nm. That is not correct. There’s probably two or more chip makers that can make chips under 10 nm, and there was news in the last year of chips below the 5nm size that wasn’t made by either TSMC, Samsung, or Intel. In any case, mainland China can’t make chips below 7nm even in small batches, because they lack the manufacturing equipment. China can’t compete in this area because they haven’t invested well over 100 billion dollars to develop and build the chip industry inside their country. They do not have the smaller chip sourcing companies that build the basic raw technology to build the ASML styled chip etching machines needed to go small scale. They are trying their best to steal the technology, but they can’t do it directly from ASML, because the European company outsources most of their components from other companies.
