BMW has the i3 & i8 already on the market, same as Audi with their e-tron and Porsche with the Taycan, just Daimler is a little slow with their EVA. These manufacturers have already established manufacturing plants and supplier networks for high luxury cars.

I love the technology of lucid but i think, like all spacs at the moment the people behind it are a bit greedy, and smart, because they recognise investors are greedy and complacent in a tech bull market at the moment also ie they can list for and get a high price. However i think lucid is going to list too expensive for where its at, as you pretty much have alluded, everyone looking for another tsla but tsla was cheap by comparison at a similar stage of its evolution and tsla has executed. • I think you first need to look at lucids luxury car. It’s hideous when you compare it with the model s refresh. People just want to invest in the next tesla, but this company isnt it. If anything Nio is much closer to challenging tesla head on.

• I’m surprised you didn’t keep the part when they asked about CCIV and he didn’t confirm or deny but smirked. I really don’t know how to play this. On one hand, it’s a company I really like, and wouldn’t mind holding my current shares. On the other hand, I think the EV bubble will pop eventually because not all these companies can be successful. I think Lucid has a pretty good shot but I don’t want the EV bubble to pop and the stock price actually drops lower than the price premerger. In a perfect scenario, the company does well, I continue to dollar cost average in, and it becomes the next Tesla. Second best scenario, the price hits 200 or so in a year and I cash out so I don’t get taxed as heavy. A bad scenario would be that the EV bubble pops and Lucid doesn’t survive and the stock tumbles down past the current price. Worst case scenario is that no merger happens. This is my largest investment so far and it is risky. I am hoping for the first scenario.

• No, with ref to licensing tech from tesla on Auto pilot driving mode, Tesla has a flaw they only juse cameras, they are suppose to use Lidars with auto driving. Thr comes aeva. lidars 4 d technology. tesla doesn’t want to use lidar, because they are expensive, you will find scores of articles from tesla related to using lidar. because of cost. cameras are unreliable.
