Part of the issue with peacock is that they are editing or completely deleting episodes of older shows they deem unsavory. (Especially under the wwe channel with older raws and smackdown shows)

I don’t see G4 making any money, especially with the Frosk situation.
I’ve heard “so & so needs to make money and the executives are mad” so many times in the last few years yet nothing ever changes.
The people controlling these streaming services blame everyone and everything but themselves.
Can you imagine how mad the suits are at Frosk? This is why brand is so important & fragile. G4 carried a lot of history & memories, that logo carried a lot of weight. That is until Frosk ripped it up in less than 5 minutes! It’s quite interesting actually, a sad example of how fast a brand can go both bad & toxic.
I can see Peacock, Paramount +, and Apple TV+ will be the ones to go under. Their content don’t really justify their respective existences and their sub numbers reflect that.

These streaming services are peaking faster than I expected. They got too greedy and now there are too many expensive services and people aren’t getting them all.
No wonder Frosk was told to shut up and desperately tried to toss any awkward tweets. When a company is losing money like crazy, the last thing they want is some fool running their mouth off and making everyone look bad. They can’t afford any negativity, and Frosk brings little else

I really hope these networks go out of business trying to get into the streaming game. We’re already reverting back to when the U.S networks owned everything, where getting cable cost like $100-200 for crap you really didn’t even want. Problem is these guys always keep it in the family, if one business goes broke, they just jump ship to the next buy out, and things continue like nothing happened…. not to mention the fact Verizon owns virtually every major ISP, and were very much for the whole Anti-Net Neutrality debate that pops up every few years.

I have Peacock mainly for Little House & Highway to Heaven (growing up as an orphan child the one thing that was mine was my own TV, & Michael Landon was my father, he was who I always imagined he’d be if…). But the app is quite bad & skips all over the place during episodes, it stutters. So in many ways it’s not worth the cost.
The problem with paying for streaming services is it’s becoming as much or more costly then what cable/satellite is, if you get them all.
I have Tubi & Pluto TV for streaming. I’m never going to pay for streaming. And, once my parents go off the mortal coil, I’m ditching directtv.
I think they’re really, really, really going to have to rethink and revamp how the streaming service thing works from here on out.

Streaming was fun when there was only one to pay for. Now we have over a dozen that charges high monthly payments for stuff only they have. It’s becoming more expensive than just having a basic cable plan to own a handful of streaming services. And with the pandemic and inflation, people don’t have the money to pay for 3-4 different services just to watch one or two shows/movies on each.
I will NEVER watch G4 until they remove the toxic hosts, Froskurine and Adam Sassler, they are TOTAL posers. #ByeFelicia

Aside from WWE programs, as a casual target customer, I cannot even tell what’s cooking on in Peacock. A very very bad thing in itself, as nothing is massively hyped, let alone hype worthy. Their competition is pathetic, yet, somehow, NBC manages to be even more underwhelming!
when it was just a few streaming services it worked better because they could offer more content for a low fee which made more people sub to them. but now that pretty much every brand wants to have their own streaming service each one has less content which makes less people sub to some or all of them at one time. so it’s most likely going to end with many of them having to merge and/or use advertisements-commercials just to turn a profit moving forward.
Did anyone expect Peacock to succeed with that name.

I think these streaming services should budget for the amount of subs they get and cut salaries and bonuses for the highest paid people in the company to keep it profitable.. nobody should ever expect to always make more money tomorrow than today, there will come a day when profits start dropping off or level out, it will happen.

Peacock is a loss leader. Its meant to keep Comcast’s cable business relevant in an increasingly streaming environment. I could get it free, but there is nothing on it I want.

Too many streaming services, theres a reason people cut cable, they dont want to spend 100-200 bux for tv, Netflix at the beginning was perfect 10 bux for a ton of tv streaming. Personally, I dont want to spend more than 20 or 30 dollars on streaming services, and those services have to have constant new in addition to old favorites. I’ll borrow my friends services or just sub for a month when needed to binge. Theres simply not enough time to watch all this tv.
G4TV died for me eons ago, back when the Cops and Cheaters marathons became a thing. The creatures from Pet Semetary were a whole lot prettier (and less messy) than this 10% speed of a train wreck that is the FrosKaren and Sealsler G4TV.
People pay for Peacock? I thought it was free. You get 40,000 hours of stuff to watch for free. You get another 20,000 hours for $4.99 per month. Not worth it. I can watch several free streaming services.

I said it when this service launched, you can’t run a streaming service when all you have are reruns of The Office. Peacock is included with my internet but I rarely use it because I have seen The Office so many times before and everything else I can find on places like Pluto and Tubi.

I do not like Peacock. The major issue I had was with the Olympics and the trials. They would randomly live sessions but never the complete event. It felt like watching a season of a show and random episodes are missing. Heck on track and field session kept highlighting Ryan Crouser in the build up to the shot put final and they didn’t even stream it. They wanted people to tune in on TV instead, which kind of sucks when you cut the cord.

It’s still sad that G4 isn’t like my middle school days back them when it was on channel 52 through Comcast, it’s now PC.
What is crazy is that G4TV could have just RECRUITED ONLINE GAMERS on Twitch and YouTube. They could have given them the G4TV “cred” and set a loose set of rules for them to follow (i.e. “Don’t get political, focus on JUST the games, etc.) and they would have been successful. And it would have been CHEAP. This is a classic example of Hollywood not knowing how to make social media work. Building a HUGE studio for the hosts to do segments in AND hiring writers for them is old school thinking.
Who thought it was a good idea to invest millions into G4 in 2022? What did they even spend the money on? We’re talking about a Twitch channel that’s primarily talking about and reviewing video games, right?

I have it, though it’s mainly for the WWE network and I find things I like to look out otherwise as well. I went for 100 a year and it’s fine to me. My main complaint is that when they took over the WWE, they censored a lot of the archives.

My suggestion then is that G4 should have put their content on Peacock right away and they should have done a better job advertising their return. Their return flew under the radar and no one knew until 2 weeks ago roughly. Now with that said, I really believe Frosk needs to go, she is now a liability for G4. And last, all politics go out the door on G4. No Gamer Gate, no Me Too crap, and no bashing people who voted differently than them. Only video games, tech, and funny skits. If Peacock had ALL the NBC content available - every episode of every TV show they have ever made, going back to the beginning (late 1920s) - I might be willing to subscribe to them. That’s content that I can’t easily find elsewhere, and a lot of it has never been released on DVD, or even VHS. That is an enormous amount of content that would make them unique. As it is, though, they have nothing to offer that I can’t find elsewhere, or that is better than other options I can find out there. That’s my problem with Disney’s streaming service, as well. They have massive amounts of back catalog stuff that they have been sitting on for decades. If most of it was available on their service, I would subscribe year-round, just to have any chance of working through it.
I saw an article where WWE makes up about 3 million of Peacock subs. They made the WWE archives less valuable by censoring material AND the site is worse than WWE Network was (can’t fast forward or rewind or skip) it’s awful.
Peacock should merge with hbo or paramount cause they need content not of it its a must see especially not the new saved by the bell.

In put the app on my TV for ONE show: Battlestar Galactica. It’s the only streaming service that has the show. I’m more than willing to wait through 2-3 60-second commercials per show. I won’t ever pay for the service however.
