Cassper Nyovest launches own premium liquor brand

It seems every other month he makes an announcement.

If it’s not new music, it’s business ventures. He had fans excited when he made a new announcement - he’s got a new alcohol brand in the works.

Rapper Cassper Nyovest showed a teaser of the brand, Billiato, which had fans excited.

He joins a number of South African celebrities who have ventured into the alcohol industry such as Bonang Matheba who launched BNG in 2019 and DJ Zinhle.

Cassper has been vocal about creating generational wealth and his dream to become a billionaire and has been working to make sure that goal comes true.

The Siyathandana hit maker recently partnered with Drip footwear. In his collaboration with the popular footwear brand, he unveiled their first sneaker together, The Roof Of Fame 990.

He is also set to take over from AKA on SABC1’s popular cooking programme The Braai Show, which returns for a second season on Wednesday, 8 September.

In June, the father of one released his 7th studio album, Sweet and Short 2.0.

The award-winning rapper and entrepreneur hasn’t shared too many details about the alcohol brand but he did say Billiato will be made available by November.

A number of his industry friends and fans have come out in support of the rapper’s latest venture.

Our hip-hop megastar has been moving mad this year, and his financial pursuits have now lead him into the lucrative world of alcohol sales. Of course, after having to endure a few dry spells over lockdown, a glass of ‘Billiato’ is certain to go down a treat in South Africa – and the iconic rapper is confident the product will be a success…

Bubbles, brandy, or ‘buca – what is in a bottle of Billiato?

Not much is known about the product at this stage, but that should all change as the marketing campaign ramps up. Cassper Nyovest also failed to clarify what exactly partygoers will be getting when they buy a bottle of Billiato.

We asked the musician if this was a line of luxury bubbly or a budget brand of Klipdrift… yet he’s still keeping his cards close to his chest. Although, with this being ‘a taste of wealth’, one has to assume it’s something rather fancy…

Cassper Nyovest declares himself the greatest hip hop artist

Hip hop heavyweight Cassper Nyovest has made some major statements on social media this week. Known for sharing his thoughts and not holding back in uncomfortable Twitter exchanges, Cassper suggested that he is the best in the music industry.

This comes after the continued chats on social media about what kind of artist Cassper is. Following his shift to amapiano, Cassper, who rose to fame as a hip hop artist, has not released any new hip hop music. The star has often said that in time he would but that for now he was enjoying making amapiano music.

This week he said that if people were nice to him, he would drop a hip hop track. “I see the SA Hip Hop chats back home. If yall are nice to me, I’ll drop 1 Hip Hop Banger in Sep. Also it’ll be a Collabo with one of the new kids. A definite knocker, yall gotta be on your best behavior in my comments doe. Tell me I’m the greatest, that type of shit. Let’s go!!!!” he tweeted.
