相信只要是有在關注 Tesla 相關新聞的朋友,最近應該都看到有個挪威駕駛,被其他用路人在路上拍到不明原因失去意識低頭倒在行進中的 Model S 駕駛座內。影片的最後,應該正啟動著自動駕駛狀態的這台特斯拉,可能是判定駕駛沒對系統做出反應,進入安全機制而緩慢煞停在路上。最終,警方也判定這名旁人狂敲玻璃跟按喇叭的駕駛是喝醉了酒的關係所導致昏迷 – 雖然他死不承認自己是「酒駕」…

根據挪威警方的公開澄清。這起剛開始被猜測可能是因為健康狀況導致失去意識的 24 歲 Model S 駕駛,是因為喝醉酒的關係,所以被人目擊在移動中的 Model S 駕駛座上完全昏死。雖說因為自動駕駛一定時間未操作的安全機制(這還不是最新 FSD 所具備的車內鏡頭判定機制呢),最終車輛本身是安全煞停也沒被追撞,所以沒有造成任何傷亡。

儘管,一旁的車輛跟警方不斷地按喇叭與拍打玻璃都醒不過來…

甚至他事後還對警方聲稱自己並沒有「駕車」來嘗試規避責任 (Model S:現在是怪我囉?),但從其他人拍到的影片與其他證據,基本上都讓他難以逃避相關的刑責 – 雖然在邏輯上來說他的確不算有開車,但很可惜,現階段所有輔助自動駕駛系統的相關責任歸屬,依然在「人」。

是說,這起事件也意外地引發 Elon Musk 透露特斯拉自動駕駛的有趣由來。提到之所以 Tesla 當初之所以急著推 Autopilot V1 版本,竟然是因為有位車主控告特斯拉車子味道 太香 導致他昏昏欲睡,才因此發生撞上單車騎士的死亡車禍。而這理由雖然並沒有被法官所接受(Elon Musk 還在回文中「嘆」了一聲 XD),但也因為這樣更堅定了他們推出輔助自動駕駛系統的想法。

畢竟這個回文提到的研究指出,美國有約 20% 的駕駛者承認最近一年曾在開車時打過瞌睡。而就檯面上調查都已經這樣了… 再加上這次的酒駕乃至於曾經也發生過的健康因素導致昏迷的衝撞事故。也許這類更先進的輔助駕駛機能的確相對於傳統駕駛系統有著更高的機率,能挽回寶貴的性命?

當然,也要這些系統不會有失誤或者是被濫用的問題的前提之下,但就目前看來,正面意義應該還是比較大才是?

The Elon University men’s soccer team and head coachannounced the program’s exciting 2021 fall slate on Tuesday, Aug. 3. The Phoenix is scheduled to play 17 regular season contests along with three exhibition matches this fall.Including exhibitions, the Phoenix is set to play nine matches at the home confines at Rudd Field. Elon will also face a pair of teams that made the 2020 NCAA Tournament.“Building off a strong finish to the spring and summer that saw a lot of our players have great success, we are excited to be back playing a full fall schedule,” said Reeves. “This preseason, we will prepare to maximize our groups potential. Playing three exhibition games will allow us to learn a great deal about the group.“Elon opens the fall campaign with three home exhibitions matches versus Gardner-Webb (Aug. 15), UNCG (Aug. 20) before facing Barton (Aug. 23) in its final preseason tune-up. The Phoenix kicks off the 2021 season in Durham, N.C., facing Merrimack on Aug. 27. Three days later, Elon hosts Liberty for its home-opener on Aug. 30 to close out the month.The Phoenix travels to Birmingham, Ala., for a tournament hosted by UAB. Elon opens versus University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) on Sept. 3, before concluding the weekend against Central Arkansas on Sept. 5.“We are thankful to Duke and UAB for the tournament invites on the opening two weekends as it affords us the opportunity to play some great opponents,” said Reeves. “With these games being closer together and still early in the season, we expect the depth in our roster to help us perform well. Starting the regular season these four tournament games are part of our very strong non-conference schedule that we believe is important to challenge our players.“Elon then turns its focus to Colonial Athletic Association play as the maroon and gold welcomes Delaware to Rudd Field for its league opener on Sept. 11. Trio of Men’s Golfers Named GCAA All-American Scholars

Elon University men’s golfersandhave been named 2020-21 Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-American Scholars, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) last week.To be eligible for All-American Scholar status, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, II and the NAIA or receiving their Associate’s Degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. Additionally, they must participate in 40 percent of their team’s competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 in Division I, under 78.0 in Division II, under 79.0 in Division III, under 78.0 in the NAIA, and under 77.0 in NJCAA. The recipient must also maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2 and must be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.This marks the second year in a row all three have been named All-American Scholars after earning the distinction in 2020. This is also the third time in program history the Phoenix has had three honorees in one season.Dransfeld, a rising senior from Huntington, W.Va., played in all five tournaments this past spring and owned an average score of 75.47 with a +3.67 score versus par. He contributed 11-of-15 rounds towards the team score and his best finish was at the Ross Collegiate Classic on March 8-9, where he and Ferrari led the maroon and gold with a six-over par 22 to finish tied for 16th. The effort helped the Phoenix place fourth in the field of 13 teams. A finance major, he maintained a 3.45 GPA for the year.A native of Framingham, Mass., Ferrari led the Phoenix in average score (73.60) and score versus par (+1.80). He had 14-of-15 rounds counted towards the team score. In addition to tying for 16th at the Ross Collegiate Classic, he tied for 22nd with a plus-12 225 at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate on March 12-14 and was the team’s top performer at the Stitch Intercollegiate on April 9-10 as he tied for 27th with a three-under 213. The finance major shot a 223 (+7) to tie for 19th at the CAA Championship on April 25-27 and earned a 3.81 GPA for the 2020-21 academic year.Hutchinson played in three tournaments this spring and owned a +5.44 score versus par through nine rounds. His best finish was at the Tar Heel Intercollegiate on March 27-29, where he was second on the team and finished tied for 36th with a six-over par 222.
